Four simple rules for reading Shmee's journal:

1. This is my journal. The end. I do my best to write my entries in an inoffensive manner, but I do have my opinions and I do occasionally post them. But they are just that: my opinions. I am entitled to them, just as you are entitled to yours. If you don't like what you see here, no one's forcing you to read it.

2. Please don't troll or harass me. I have been lucky in the nearly four years I've had this journal and have rarely if ever had to deal with trolling or harassment; either my reader base is just that small, or I'm just that good at not offending people. Thought I'd go ahead and do a disclaimer, though. If you troll or harass me without good reason, you're likely to be ridiculed (not just by me) and generally shot down. I won't delete such things simply so that your idiocy may be viewed by all for the duration of my journal.

3. If you friend me and want me to friend you back, please tell me. I don't check my "friend of" list very often, and so often don't know when I've been friended unless I'm told. Please don't take offense if I don't friend you and you haven't requested it, because it's most likely that I just didn't know you had. Also, if you do friend me and want to be friended back, please tell me who you are. I am not omniscient, contrary to popular belief ;D.

4. If you have a beef with me or something I write bothers you, please tell me in a mature and calm manner. I'm probably not going to know or care if you go and talk about me, naming names or not, in your own journal or to other people, but come on. It's the mature thing to do, and you'll probably feel better for having cleared the animosity out of the air. Only once have I ever had differences with someone so irreconcilable that we've had to remove each other from our friends' lists, and chances are that if you just talk to me about it we can get it cleared up.

As for my biography (and I'm only doing this because I'm bored, this part of my info was positively useless before now). I'm a 20-year-old female. I go to school at the University of TN at Martin, which is a leech and is taking every penny I own and then some. I'm currently majoring in studio art. I'm an eclectic wiccan, non-practicing for the most part. I'm bisexual in the sense that the person matters more to me than their genitalia; however, I am currently in a very happy long-term relationship with the man I love. I'm an avid animal lover, but not to the extreme that groups like PETA take it. Specifically, I am very much a dog person, and I feel that I have some connection to them. I used to go so far as to say that my soul was half-canine, but I've moved away from that a little and settled with the fact that they appeal to me more than any other animal and I see them more as a totem than actually part of my soul. My life, essentially, revolves around my close friends, my fiance, art, and reading. There are other people I would like my life to revolve around, but unfortunately, they live in far away places like Germany D:.
